Dokurugu Adam Yahaya, Head of Programmes, BasicNeeds-Ghana

I am a project management professional with 17 years’ experience in the mental health and development sector. My background is Social Work, Governance and Sustainable Development. I coordinate programme and project teams, partnerships and networks for advocacy focusing on mental health, disability, human rights, youth, gender equality and social inclusion. I facilitate the establishment and capacity strengthening of mental health Self-Help Groups for self-representation and dialogue with District Assemblies, and lead Programme assisted mental healthcare delivery to rural under-served communities in Northern Ghana. I Coordinate and support project and programme evaluations and research on various on interventions of BasicNeeds-Ghana.
